Best time to visit

If you're looking for light temperatures, the best time to visit Egypt is during the cooler months from October to April. During this period, temperatures are more comfortable, ranging from 70°F to 85°F (21°C to 29°C), making it ideal for exploring outdoor attractions like the temples of Luxor and Karnak or the Valley of the Kings without the intense heat of summer or even a Nile cruise.

If hotter temps don't bother you, you can visit from May to September, when temperatures can soar above 100°F (38°C), particularly in southern Egypt. While cruises still operate during this time, the extreme heat can make outdoor excursions difficult for those who do not enjoy hot temps.
