Experience the “land of fire and ice” and chase the aurora borealis across an ethereal wonderland. In the dark of the night, search for the northern lights as you drift along on an evening starlit cruise. Travel the “Golden Circle,” home to renowned natural wonders, and spend time at Thingvellir National Park, gaze at Gullfoss waterfall, and see the explosive geothermal fields at Geysir. 

Explore Skógar Museum and see traditional turf-built homes. Walk on a black volcanic sand beach. See Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon filled with floating icebergs. Relax in the warm, mineral-rich water of the Blue Lagoon.

Best time to visit 

The 24-hour sun, also known as the Midnight Sun, is visible in Iceland during the summer months when the days are longest:

  • Best Time: Late May to late July.
  • Peak: Around the summer solstice on June 21, 2025, when the sun doesn't fully set in northern Iceland.

The Aurora Borealis is visible in Iceland during the darker months of the year:

  • Best Time: September to mid-April.
  • Peak Viewing Conditions:
    • March 2025 and September 2025 during the equinoxes when geomagnetic activity is usually strongest.
    • Clear, dark nights away from city lights maximize visibility.

This trip is designed to give you the best possible experience. We prioritize sustainability and responsible tourism practices. 

Upon your arrival in Kiruna, your private driver will take you from their airport to your exciting overnight stay at the Jukkasjärvi Ice Hotel. The Ice Hotel is Scandinavia’s first ice hotel and has been re-built yearly since 1989 from snow and blocks of ice from the Torne River. Over the years the Ice Hotel has changed from an igloo to the world’s largest hotel of ice and snow.

Please note that you will not be able to take your personal belongings into the Ice Hotel as they will freeze. They will be stored in the warm service building next door to the Ice Hotel where you will also find the bathroom areas and sauna. During your overnight stay, you will sleep in a thermal sleeping bag on comfortable reindeer skins in a special bed built of snow and ice.

We recommend that you sleep in:

  • woolen underwear
  • woolen socks
  • a comfortable cap
  • woolen gloves

For dinner, we will reserve your table to dine at the Ice Hotel Restaurant, awarded with the prestigious Werner Vögeli Statuette and featured in gourmet magazines around the world.

Breakfast buffet, morning sauna and towels are included.

Start your day with breakfast at your hotel before preparing to Indulge in the luxury of a private trip to the Blue Lagoon, where you will dive into the geothermal spa's warm, mineral-rich waters, known for their skin-soothing properties.

After your relaxing spa experience your private driver will take you back to your hotel to relax and re charge before your 9:00PM local time departure for your Northern Lights tour. During the experience you will learn about the solar flares that cause the aurora with other discerning travelers as your guide happily take photos of you with the northern lights as a memorable keepsake.

Important: Kindly note that Northern Lights observations are not guaranteed, as it greatly depends on the solar activity at the time of booking and a clear sky at night.

Today you will join other discerning travelers to tour Reykjavik’s signature Golden Circle. Where you wisit Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, watch geysers erupting, marvel at the power of Gullfoss Waterfall, and eat an included lunch at the Fridheimar tomato farm, fueled by renewable energy. You’ll likely get the chance to pet an Icelandic horse as well.

You will have the evening to yourself to relax and enjoy at your own pace.

Today you will have the opportunity to discover the scenery of southern Iceland on a full-day tour from Reykjavik. Where you will journey past lava fields, icebergs, and glacier lakes as you explore the Sólheimajökull and Mýrdalsjökull glaciers. Keep your camera handy as you admire the black-sand beaches and dramatic rock formations of Vik (with an opportunity for lunch), as well as the mighty Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls.

Important: This tour is weather conducive and any adjustments or cancellations made as a result will be properly relayed 24 hours before via email for clients awareness.
