Day 2: Day of leisure in Salvador de Bahia

Morning / Afternoon

Get breakfast at hotel, enjoy the rooftop pool, or sightsee locally near the hotel at your leisure. 

Both hotel accommodation options are centrally located in the heart of the historic district, making it easy for you to visit Pelourihno De Noite (where the Michael Jackson shot his famed music video "they don't really care about us" ) and also near the popular Elavador Lacerda, a public urban elevator located in Salvador, Brazil, connecting the lower city to the upper city.

Evening:

5:00PM dinner at Veleiro 

Located in: Yacht Club of Bahia

Transport: self transport from hotel to dinner. Uber is widely used in Salvador Bahia and you will reserve using the app on your phone as normal.

Your uber will drop you off in the front entrance you will walk straight forward and take the elevator to the floor with the button listing Veleiro. 

Day 3: African Religious Daily Life Tour & Cultural Dinner Show test

This experience is the perfect introduction for first-time visitors to Salvador as you will experience the legacy of its ancestral peoples and the presence of African gods who also made the voyage from Africa into Brazilian lands.


This religious itinerary / tour consists of a daytime visit to a Candomblé terreiro to  experience the daily life of a Candomblé community, and their faith as members of this religion that worships the Orixas. Wednesday is the day dedicated to Xango, the patron of this house and the community, the thunder god of justice, symbol of strength and survival of Africans in this land, when they were treated as commodities under the oppression of slavery.

They evoked Xangô for protection in the freedom struggle. You will witness the offering of a ceremonial dish (amala).

Day 5: Tropical Islands Itaparica and Frades boat trip Tour with lunch

8am hotel pick up  

Discover the sights of Salvador from a unique viewpoint out in the Atlantic water on this 8-hour sailboat cruise over the calm waters of All Saints Bay (Baía de Todos os Santos). You will be sailing between the Old Fortress of São Marcelo and have a stunning view of the upper and lower cities.The Bay of All Saints is the second largest bay in the world (after the Bay of Bengal) and the largest in Brazil, a region that was called by the Tupinambás indigenous group Kirimurê, which means "great inland sea."

You will have a relaxing time by the seashore and sample some snacks and drinks as well... Afterwards we return aboard toward the island of Itaparica, the largest island in Brazil, a site rich in history that is preserved both in its architecture and in its religious groups of African origin that add a touch of magic to this picturesque site.

On the islands, you will have lunch in a restaurant specializing in local cuisine, and spend the afternoon enjoying the natural beauty of the region.

Day 6: Depart for Rio

Your driver will await you outside of the hotel to take you to Salvador Bahia airport where you will be transported on a regional airline to Rio de Janeiro.

Upon your landing in Rio your driver will await you outside of baggage claim to take you to your Rio de Janeiro luxury accommodation.

Day 7: Full Day in Rio: Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf, Maracana and Selaron with Lunch

With a local guide, you will travel through the Tijuca Forest, stopping at Paineiras to board transportation to the top of Corcovado, home of the Christ the Redeemer statue. Take the cable car from Urca up to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain, then eat lunch at one of the city's best steakhouses before visiting the Maracanã Stadium and the Sambadrome.

Day 8: Brazilian Cooking Class in Copacabana

Hotel pick up time 3:30PM 

duration: 4 hours 

Discover Brazilian cuisine with this hands-on cooking class in Copacabana. Immerse yourself in Brazilian culture as you learn to make traditional dishes such as Feijoada (black bean stew), Seafood Moqueca (fish stew), and Brigadeiro (chocolate truffles).

Find out the history of each dish, practice local cooking techniques, then sit down to feast on your 3-course homecooked dinner.

Couple it with a homemade caipirinha and coconut shake.

Attention: this is not a private tour, this is a small-group experience, you will be doing this class with other travelers. 

Day 9: Day of leisure in Rio

Enjoy a day of leisure in Rio.
Get breakfast at hotel at your leisure.
Enjoy the rooftop pool at your leisure. 
Sightsee locally at your leisure. 

Day 10: Samba Experience

duration: 6 hours 

Hotel pick up is 3:30pm 

Visit the city of Samaba where the Samba schools manufacture the carnival floats. On this guided visit you wil learn a lot, enjoy a Caiprinha and get the chance to try on a carnival costume! 

After the Samba experience you will depart for Largo Da Prainha Square to enjoy the most famous samba in the city at Pedra Do Sal.

Food is available and can be purchased at your own expense. 

Day 10: Attend a soccer match!

Duration: 6 hours

Attend a soccer match in Rio during your stay.  With a local guide, join the thousands of enthusiastic fans at one of the city's stadiums to cheer on a local team.

Learn the local cheers and fight songs and get informative commentary from your guide on the history and traditions of 'futbol' in Rio.

This experience includes a general admission ticket and round-trip transportation from your hotel. 

** Any food or drinks bought at the stadium is clients own expense.

Day 11: Day of leisure in Rio

Explore at your leisure, relish in all that you have experienced to date.

Depart Brazil
