Day 2: Gardens and Galleries
Your tour begins as you’re whisked away to the 150-year-old Singapore Botanic Gardens, the Lion City’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a star attraction for both tourists and local alike, hosting a variety of collections from all over the world. It is the most visited botanical gardens in the world and is a unique example of the informal English Landscape Movement’s style in an equatorial climate.
Ideal for nature enthusiasts of all ages, you’ll view some of the best examples of native and exotic flora in Singapore. Enjoy the lush vegetation, the vibrant flowers and the warmth of the tropics as you stroll through the Gardens' tropical collections.
At the Gardens Heritage Museum, view a range of artifacts, plant specimens, and rare botanical paintings, then continue to the Swan Lake for the iconic feature; a large group of Nibong palms. You’ll then have a chance to see the gorgeous Vanda Miss Joaquim, Singapore’s national flower, before heading to the iconic Bandstand.
Here you’ll break for lunch in a local restaurant, and afterwards, set off for Gardens by the Bay, an expansive park that is a highlight for any visitor to Singapore. Built at a cost of over one billion dollars, the gardens opened June 2012 and have already been billed as an unmissable attraction. The gardens house two conservatories, a Cloud Forest and Flower Dome, which are climate-controlled indoor glasshouses.
The Flower Dome replicates the cool-dry climate of the Mediterranean and South Africa, while the Cloud Forest replicates a cool-moist climate found in Tropical Montane regions such as Mount Kinabalu in Sabah and high elevation areas in South America. Within the gardens, you'll find 18 impressive Supertrees (tree-like structures), which are vertical gardens up to 150-feet tall, each performing a multitude of functions.
Along with providing a bird’s eye view of the entire gardens, they also collect rainwater, generate solar power and act as vending ducts for the park’s conservatory. After a day spent exploring these incredible monuments to botany, you will be returned to your hotel.

Day 3: Explore Singapore
Singapore was part of British Malaya for centuries, and in the centuries prior to European influence, it was ruled by the Sultanate of Johor. After World War II, Singapore became an independent nation and republic.
Today, Singapore has a diverse populace of just over five million people, comprised of a mosaic of Chinese, Malays, Indians, and Eurasians – along with many others of different origins – which is in line with the nation’s history as a crossroads for a diverse range of ethnic groups.
Today, you’ll set out to experience these varied cultures as you explore the nooks and crannies of each heritage enclave. At Kampong Glam, admire the quiet majesty of the Sultan’s Mosque with its unmistakable golden dome, explore colorful food eateries, and browse through old-fashioned shops selling batiks, carpets, rattan basket-ware and exotic perfumes.
Take the opportunity to try Teh Halia in one of the shops; a popular ginger tea. Next, you’ll travel to Little India to experience the bustling streets which feature aromatic and exotic spices, colorful flower-garland shops, vegetable vendors, busy curry houses and henna painters. Moving on to Tekka Centre, a multi-use building including a wet market, food center and shops where different ethnic communities congregate.
Watch closely as roti prata is prepared fresh and flipped to perfection in one of the shops. A local favorite, roti prata is a fried flatbread that is cooked over a flat grill. It is usually served with a vegetable or meat-based curry and it originated in Singapore, making it a tried and true local staple.
Chinatown completes the cultural kaleidoscope with the old and the new, tradition and modernity, in the rows of streets where old shop houses are lovingly restored into tempting restaurants, tea-houses and shops selling Oriental arts, crafts and souvenirs as well as traditional Chinese medicinal herbs.
After a day appreciating the outstanding diversity of cosmopolitan Singapore, you will be returned to your hotel.
Tonight, reservations will be made in advance at the restaurant of your choice, and round-trip transportation in a private vehicle will also be provided.
Please note: Your meal is not included and will be paid for on location. Reservations are confirmed at the time of booking and are subject to availability.

Choose to literally soak in the beautiful atmosphere of the rainforest in your private plunge pool or perhaps make arrangements for a spa treatment through your personal assistant. Consider exploring the Officer's Tent or borrowing a mountain bike to explore the stunning rice terraces that surround the property.
Complimentary return transfers are also available into Ubud for those who would like to further explore town.
Ubud is the cultural center of Bali and famous for its dances. The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah is proud to host a dance troupe of boys and men from the local community who perform the traditional Kecak dance.
Tonight, enjoy a spectacular 45-minute performance of dance to the chanting of anywhere between fifty and seventy men at the outdoor candle-lit amphitheater, followed by a Royal Balinese Dinner at the restaurant.
During wet weather conditions, the Kecak Dance will be performed at the lobby garden while guests are comfortably seated at the lobby area.
Day 6: Discover Bali
Start today with a drive in a convertible VW Kuebelwagen (VW 181) that offers the opportunity to discover Bali’s amazing scenery away from the usual tourist routes. Begin the adventure driving through small backroads via Desa, Munggu and Kaba-Kaba to reach Tabanan City where you’ll tour the local market.
Today's tour continues with a drive up the slope of Mount Batukaru passing Rejasa and into Tambuwaras. Here you’ll visit a beautiful temple at the edge of the rainforest which is normally locked. To reach Jatiluwih, pass Desa Tegallinggah, stopping for lunch at a local restaurant with a beautiful view over the rice fields.
On the way back, you’ll again travel along quiet roads and soon find yourself at a Balinese compound where you’ll have the chance to meet a local family before being returned to your hotel.
Day 7: UBUD TO JIMBARAN
After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel in Ubud and begin your transfer to Jimbaran, in eastern Bali.
Your first stop is Goa Gajah – the Elephant Cave – found nearby the Elephant River. Inside this mysterious cave with its ornate, stone-carved façade, you’ll find relics and offerings, while outside, ancient bathing pools are set against green rice paddies and a garden. It is believed to have been built in the 9th century and has been used as a meditation center since the 11th Century.
Carrying onward, you’ll visit Kertagosa Palace, a Balinese heritage site that was formerly used as a court building during the Klungkung Kingdom period. From here, track southward toward Jimbaran. Once considered the backwater of south Bali, nothing more than a tiny fishing village with a daily market – it has taken on a much different spirit since the late 20th century.
Now host to an array of world-class five-star beach resorts, the pleasant white sand beaches are calm and safe for swimming while the clusters of seafood restaurants on the beach are a major draw in the evenings; the food pairing perfectly with the unforgettable sunsets.
